Monica (Draeger) Maurer is among the most decorated women’s volleyball players in Lakeland history. A three-time first-team all-LMC honoree and 2003 Lake Michigan Conference Player of the Year, Marurer graduated as the career leader in blocks (437) and hitting percentage (.366), third on the career kills list (1,334), and leader in multiple single-season records. Maurer won a conference title in each season she played and won two tournament titles; over her final three seasons, the Muskies were 35-1 in conference play. Maurer led the program to two NCAA tournaments and a record 32 wins in the 2002 season.
