Lakeland University Athletics

Ruben was leading scorer, MVP and captain of the basketball team. He held records in the 440 and 880 in track. He was a halfback on the 1940 and 1941 championship football teams. He was the college’s athlete of the year in 1942-43. He later coached varsity basketball and track for three years.
