Vance Henning was one of the most prolific hitters in Lakeland baseball history, graduating as the career leader in hits (184) and runs (127), second in career steals (62), and third in runs batted in (99). In addition to his career records, Henning also set season records for hits and runs as a senior. A four-time all-conference honoree, Henning was first-team all-LMC as a junior and senior and a first-team all-region selection in 2002. Henning led the Muskies to two Lake Michigan Conference titles and a regional title and fifth-place finish in the 2002 Division III World Series.
