Michael Whitley (So.-Vidalia, La.) had another terrific game Saturday in the Muskies' 47-40 double-overtime win over Aurora. He accounted for seven touchdowns in the game, rushing for four scores and passing for three more in Lakeland's fourth straight victory. Whitley completed 28 of 45 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed 26 times for 84 yards and four touchdowns, including an eight-yard run in overtime that provided the winning points. The four touchdowns rushing are one shy of the high in NCAA Division III this season. His 24 points scored are tied for the fourth-most in a single game in Lakeland history.
