Lakeland Athletics is excited to announce the rebirth of the Muskies Club. Lakeland last had a Muskies Club in the mid-2010s. It was your standard ‘Booster Club’ membership system, with different levels of financial commitment. Each level gave increased benefits, such as tickets, apparel, or golf outing signups. We anticipate returning to a similar setup in time, which would financially benefit Lakeland Athletics.
However, we need to rebuild our connections first, and the Muskies Club's first setup will involve engaging alumni, parents, fans, and the community in the athletics department. Signing up for the Muskies Club is free, and the main benefit will be receiving this type of communication from LU Director of Athletics Dan Artamenko. Updates will start seasonally and include information about the NCAA, sport-specific updates, and department operational updates.
Once we build up a database of Muskies Club faithful, we will start growing ideas and interaction with the members. Some examples:
- Opportunity to be invited to special Muskies events, such as golf tournaments, off-campus activities, or events on team road trips.
- Have direct feedback on the vision of athletics at Lakeland.
- Hopefully, the growth of an advisory board can help Lakeland grow externally.
- Name, Image & Likeness (NIL)/Fundraising partner – An invested group that can help our current team with fundraisers or, depending on the NCAA's and NIL's future, help start an NIL program at Lakeland.
Over time, we can develop a strong group of connections that can lead us towards a more traditional, involved booster club. As we open our corporate sponsorship ideas this summer, the Muskies Club could also bridge external fundraising and internal operations.
Our simple ask is to please sign up for the Muskies Club and share with anyone who supports the Muskies:
