RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Concordia University Chicago scored the tying goal late in regulation and the winner 1:31 into overtime to upend the Lakeland College men's soccer team 3-2 Saturday afternoon in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars rallied from a two-goal deficit to send the Muskies to their fourth one-goal loss of the season. It was also the third loss by a single goal in Lakeland's last four games.
The Muskies (2-11 overall, 1-4 NACC) built an early 2-0 lead in the first half.

Jr.-Luxemburg, Wis.) scored first just 5:32 into the match, redirecting a corner kick by
Mirko Tadic (
Sr.-Santiago, Chile) and tucking it inside the left post.
The second goal came at 27:54, as Tadic dribbled through four defenders to score unassisted and fired the ball inside the right post to give Lakeland a 2-0 lead that it would hold through halftime.
Concordia (5-7-1 overall, 1-4 NACC) scored its first goal 7:26 into the second half as Gibril Jobe tallied with an assist from Roberto Avila to make it 2-1. The score remained that way until the 88th minute, when Daniel Krajewski scored the equalizer with 2:25 left in regulation with another assist from Avila.
Joey Malme scored the winning goal for Concordia, settling a pass from Fabian Robles and finding the upper corner to complete the comeback.
Lakeland outshot the Cougars 8-5 in the first half but was outshot 12-1 over the second half and overtime. Tadic and
Franco Herrera (
Sr.-Naucalpan, Mexico) both attempted two shots for the Muskies.
Thomis Mannebach (
So.-Florence, Wis.) made four saves in goal for Lakeland.
The Muskies hit the road again Wednesday when they travel to take on Marian University in Fond du Lac for a night match at 7 p.m.
