The Lakeland University women's soccer team seeks its second win of the season when it welcomes Lawrence University Wednesday for a non-conference match with a 4 p.m. kickoff on the campus field.
Lakeland enters with a 1-3 record after a 7-0 loss to Knox (Ill.) on Sunday as part of the Alverno College Inferno Cup.Â
The Muskies also were defeated by Blackburn (Ill.) 5-2 on Saturday, as the Beavers scored four goals in the second half. Rachel Hasko (Fr.-Racine, Wis.) scored her first collegiate goal in that game, while Brianna Johnson (Fr.-Green Bay, Wis.) added an assist and then scored her sixth goal of her freshman campaign.
Lawrence comes in with a 0-4 mark after dropping a 5-0 decision to Coe (Iowa) on Sunday. The Vikings have faced a tough early schedule but finished 9-9 last year and in the middle of the Midwest Conference, where they were picked to finish fifth again this year.
Lawrence leads the all-time series 8-0 and won last year's game 4-2, rallying with four goals in the second half.
