The Lakeland University women's soccer team is back home on Wednesday when it welcomes Wisconsin Lutheran College for a 3:30 p.m. match in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play.
The Muskies (1-7 overall, 0-2 NACC) are looking to snap a six-game losing strea and most recently lost at home to Dominican 8-0 on Saturday. The Stars scored twice late in the first half and then pulled away with five goals in the second half to send Lakeland to its sixth straight loss.
Brianna Johnson (
Fr.-Green Bay, Wis.) and
Rachel Hasko (
Fr.-Racine, Wis.) had the lone shot attempts for the Muskies, while
Karisa Rowland (
Fr.-Peoria, Ariz.) made 12 saves in goal.
Wisconsin Lutheran (3-7 overall, 1-1 NACC) enters today coming off its third win of the season on Saturday, a 7-0 rout of Alverno 7-0 for its first NACC win. Helen Joyce and Belle Flucas both had hat tricks and accounted for all seven goals, with Joyce scoring four times and Flucas adding three goals.
