Lakeland University senior Karlis Ozols (Fond du Lac, Wis.) has been named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Football Team, as announced Tuesday.

Ozols is a linebacker on the Muskies football team who has excelled on the field and off at Lakeland. In the classroom he carries a 3.9387 cumulative grade point average while majoring in sport management and leadership at Lakeland. He also started all ten games for the Muskies this season and finished second on the team in tackles for loss and among the team leaders in tackles and pass breakups.

The 2022 Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late December.
