Live video & live statistics: http://www.lakelandmuskies.com/muskieslive. Andy Damp is again calling the play-by-play for all Lakeland home basketball games this year.

Series history: 102nd meeting, Lakeland leads 59-42
A series that had recently been owned by the Muskies turned last year and the Sabres come in having won three straight, all at home in Fond du Lac. Marian prevailed 75-59  last month Jan. 19, outscoring Lakeland 54-24 over the game's final 21 minutes after the Muskies held a 14-point lead late in the first half. The Sabres also won on back-to-back nights last season, drilling Lakeland 77-49 and then earning a 71-65 victory in games played Feb. 26-27. The Muskies had won seven straight over Marian before that, including most recently a convincing 95-59 win at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium Jan. 25, 2020. The series dates back to Dec. 18, 1973, when Lakeland won the first meeting ever between the schools 89-48.

Lakeland last time out: Lost at Benedictine 67-62 Saturday
The Muskies again came in just under the wire on the road with a late rally coming up just short. Lakeland trailed 65-55 with less than two minutes left but scored seven straight points and had a chance to tie with 38 seconds left before its comeback ran out of steam. The Muskies lost on the road in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference by five points or less for the fourth time this season. Cam Jaeger scored 18 points, Aiden Polzin chipped in 16 and Kai Buliox added 15, but Lakeland finished shooting 35.1% and was outrebounded 48-29 in the first meeting between the teams this season.

Marian last time out: Lost to Rockford 83-82 Monday
The Sabres led 79-75 with 90 seconds left in the game but the Regents took the lead on a three-point play with 53 seconds left as part of an 8-0 run late. The teams traded blows all night with 13 lead changes and eight ties, and Marian held a slim lead most of the second half but missed a chance to move into first place in the NACC and enters tonight's final games of the regular season as part of a mess of nine teams separated by one-half game in the conference standings. David Britton and Tyler Gouin scored 16 points each and Sheboygan native Delvin Barnstable added 14 points and eight rebounds. The Sabres also held a huge 44-27 rebounding advantage but committed 22 turnovers in defeat.

About the Sabres: Marian has had a solid bounce back season and will post its first winning record since the 2015-16 season. The Sabres enter the night looking to improve their seeding position for the NACC Tournament. Marian cannot win the title but can clinch at least a first round home game with a win, with its seed dependent on other results tonight.

Senior Night: Lakeland will be honoring five seniors before tonight's game. Greg Barber, Phillip Curtis IV, Caleb Matthias, Jequan Pegeese and Matt Sechman are all taking part in their last regular season home game. The group includes a five-year player (Pegeese), three transfers including one his third year with the team (Barber), one in his second year (Sechman) and a graduate transfer in his only season (Curtis), and a four-year player who has been sidelined by injury the last couple years (Matthias).
