APPLETON, Wis. – Michael Barragan (Sr.-Milwaukee, Wis.) scored again and the Lakeland University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with Lawrence University Thursday night at Lawrence's Banta Bowl.

Barragan scored just 8 minutes, 58 seconds into the match with an assist from Andres Gonzalez (Sr.-Jamul, Calif.). The goal was his fourth of the season and fourth in the Muskies' last two matches, and gave Lakeland (1-2-1 overall) a 1-0 lead it would hold for most of the first half.

Lawrence (0-2-1) answered with a tying goal with just over five minutes left in the first half. Eamon Rougvie scored unassisted in the 40th minute to tie the score, and the score would hold the rest of the match. The Muskies' last shot attempt came in the 78th minute from Jordan Davis-Troller (So.-Cottage Grove, Wis.).

Lakeland outshot Lawrence 12-10 for the match, including a 5-4 edge in shots on goal. Davis-Troller led the Muskies with four shots. Zach Heiman (Jr.-Racine, Wis.) came on in goal in the second half in relief of Ben Taylor (Jr.-Sheboygan, Wis.) and made two saves.
