Series history: Lakeland and Concordia are long-time rivals in many sports, and volleyball is no exception. The two teams have been meeting regularly since the 1970s. The Falcons were dominant in the series from 2014-23, winning 12 straight, but the Muskies have gained a foothold again of late with five-set wins each of the last two seasons, including a 25-23, 28-26, 22-25, 20-25, 15-3 victory on the road in Mequon Oct. 25 as Samya Hughes set a school single-match record with 27 kills. Lakeland also won the last time the teams played at the Woltzen Gymnasium, also in five sets with a 25-13, 26-28, 25-15, 12-25, 17-15 triumph Sept. 26 of last season. Concordia last defeated the Muskies twice in 2023, including most recently a 25-23, 25-18, 25-18 win in the 4-vs.-5 seed game in the NACC Tournament quarterfinals in Mequon.

NACC Tournament history: The Muskies and Falcons have met a total of four times in the NACC Tournament, splitting those four matches. CUW has won the last two times, including 2023 and also a four-set victory in the semifinals in 2019, while the Muskies won in 2008 and 2013, including a quarterfinal win in 2013 and a four-set win in the 2008 championship match that clinched an NCAA Division III Tournament berth. Lakeland is 13-13 all-time in 17 NACC tourney appearances, including three championships, while CUW is 17-15 all-time in the tourney in 18 appearances, with two titles.

Lakeland last time out: Won at Concordia Chicago 3-0 Saturday
The Muskies defeated the Cougars on the road 25-23, 25-19, 25-13 for their 10th straight win, clinching a home match in the NACC Tournament quarterfinals. The Muskies' 10-match winning streak is their longest in a single season since also winning 10 straight to end 2001, a streak that including the first matches of the following season reached 14 matches in 2002.

Concordia last time out: Defeated Alverno 3-0; Defeating Wisconsin-Stevens Point 3-0 Saturday
