Lakeland University Athletics

Lakeland: Smith is in his first year with the Muskies and is a graduate transfer from Concordia Chicago. He also played two years at Eureka College and redshirted as a freshman at NAIA Culver-Stockton (Mo.) College in 2021.

Concordia Chicago: Smith played in eight games last year, making a total of 10 tackles (seven solo, three assisted)… Made one tackle for loss.

Eureka: Played in eight games over two seasons… Made four tackles (three solo, one assisted).

High School: Three-year letter winner on football team and also lettered two years in track & field… First team all-Northwest Conference 2B as a running back.

Personal: Son of Sherman & Debra Smith and has one brother (Jacob) and a step-sister (Malia)… Received his degree from Concordia Chicago in criminal justice and is working on his master’s at Lakeland in leadership and organizational development.

Why did you choose Lakeland? The initial first impression of the coaching staff particularly Coach Lehto, and the knowledge to the game he demonstrated and the success the program has had over the last decade.
