Heroes/most influential people: My grandpa and grandma, my sister, my parents and Barb Poupore. My grandpa and grandma have been by my side since I could remember, supporting me in all I do and wanting to hear all about it. My sister was always the one to keep me in line, which got me to where I am today. My parents always encouraged me and put in countless hours to help me in my crazy life. Lastly, Barb Poupore was like a second mom to me, always taking me under her wing when times were tough as if I were her own. Thankful for these wonderful people.
Greatest sports accomplishment: My basketball team winning districts. Being on the academic all-state team for volleyball. Making memories with girls that weren't just teammates, but sisters will always be a huge memory for me.
Why did you choose Lakeland? I really enjoyed the close-knit feel of the campus. Coming from Central Michigan University, the campus was huge and was hard to feel like you were really a part of the school. The family-like atmosphere was huge for me coming from a small town in the Upper Peninsula. Also, they have incredible opportunities for students here!
