Biography
2019: Competed in all eight of Muskies’ meets and posted team’s best time in all of them… Posted her best 6-kilometer time of the season at the Wisconsin Private College Championships, when she finished in 26 minutes, 35.1 seconds to place 19th individually and earn all-state honors at the meet for the first time… Also posted top-25 individual finishes at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships Nov. 2, finishing 22nd, and when she came in 25th at the Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior Invitational Oct. 5… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.
2018: As a freshman competed in all six meets Muskies took part in… Posted team’s best time in all six events, recording her best 6-kilometer time of the season at the NACC Championships Oct. 27, when she finished in 25 minutes, 39.4 seconds to place 28th individually… Recorded first collegiate top-10 finish and first top-10 finish by a Lakeland runner in years when she came in eighth at the Concordia (Wis.) Ken Weidt Classic Sept. 8… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.
High School: Four-year letter winner in cross country and track & field and also lettered three years in basketball… Four-time all-Metro Classic Conference award winner and four-time all-Kenosha County in cross country, where she was also a two-time WIAA state qualifier… Basketball team MVP and honorable mention all-conference as a senior… Member of state runner-up team in basketball as a sophomore… Four-time all-conference and three-time all-county performer in track... WIAA sectional qualifier all four years… Captain on all three teams as a senior… Honor roll student… Two-time academic all-state award winner.
Personal: Born March 14, 2000… Daughter of Dan & Peggy Cairo and has one brother (Jacob)… Also a member of the Lakeland track & field team... Majoring in mathematics and graphic design.

Greatest sports accomplishment: Qualifying for cross country state my freshman year with my team, but if we hadn’t qualified as a team, I would have been able to go as an individual competitor
