On behalf of the Muskies Athletic Department, welcome to Lakeland University! We are excited to join you in this new phase of your life as you continue your athletic journey and pursue your college education. I am privileged to spend your collegiate career with you as you create experiences which will be some of the most memorable in your life. I look forward to watching you compete in your sport while working hard in the classroom and enjoying all of what is offered through our campus community.
As a Lakeland student-athlete, we strive to maintain a competitive athletics program that conducts itself in a manner that sets an example for our community and youth. We identify that education is the primary goal and will help student-athletes achieve these goals. The athletics department staff is committed to the mission of Muskies' athletics to provide an atmosphere in which student athletes can confirm values, practice teamwork, demonstrate sportsmanship, and experience personal responsibility. This mission will be carried out within the framework of the NCAA Division III philosophy and the mission of the University, which promotes to educate women and men of diverse backgrounds, preparing them to think critically, to communicate effectively, to succeed professionally, and to lead ethical, purposeful and fulfilling lives.
