2026: In first year with the Muskies played in 22 games, starting 20… Batted .271 with 19 hits in 70 at bats, with one double, one triple, 10 runs batted in and eight runs scored… Also stole two bases… Finished third on team in batting average… Made just one error in 75 chances in the field (.987 fielding percentage)… Posted eight multi-hit games… Reached base four times in second game of doubleheader against Edgewood April 28, going 2-for-4 with two walks, a run scored and two RBIs, including the game-winning bunt to give Muskies a 10-9 win in 10 innings.

Illinois Valley CC: Laffoon transferred to Lakeland after two years at Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, Ill., where he played in 37 games over two years, including 33 games inhis second year when he posted 16 hits in 71 at bats (.225 average), one double, seven RBIs and six stolen bases.

High School: Four-year letter winner in football and lettered three years each in baseball and basketball… Three-time first team all-Vermilion Valley Conference pick in baseball, where he also was named all-area three times including first team once and twice honorable mention… Two-time first team all-conference selection in football, where he was a team captain and was named first team all-state… Two-time all-conference in basketball, where he also was a team captain.

Personal: Son of Matt & Alicia Laffoon and has one sister (Madisyn)… Majoring in mathematics secondary education.


Career ambition/goal: High school math teacher and baseball coach
