Dakota College-Bottineau: Shurley is in his first year at Lakeland and is a transfer from Dakota College at Bottineau in Bottineau, N.D. As a sophomore for the Lumberjacks he pitched in relief in 12 games and posted a 5-1 record, allowing 28 hits and 19 runs (18 earned) in 21 innings.

High School: Lettered five years in baseball, four years in football and three years in basketball… Baseball region senior athlete of the year… Football team captain and special teams player of the year as a senior and member of a regional championship team… All-region honorable mention in football as a junior.

Personal: Son of Shea Shurley and Melissa Shurley and has one sister (Sienna)… Majoring in sport management and leadership.
