2021: In first season with the Muskies pitched in relief in 16 games and finished with a 4-3 record and one save with a 6.46 earned run average… In 47 1/3 innings allowed 59 hits and 41 runs (34 earned) with 26 strikeouts and 22 walks… Led team in appearances, wins and innings pitched and tied for third in strikeouts… Picked up his first save in second collegiate game, throwing two scoreless innings at Benedictine March 21… Earned first win with four innings of relief allowing one run against Concordia (Ill.) April 3… Pitched season-high seven innings in relief in second game of doubleheader against MSOE April 18, allowing three runs (one earned)… Also batted three times with one hit and one run batted in against Maranatha Baptist April 29.

High School: Three-year letter winner on baseball team and also participated in basketball for two years… Member of conference championship team… Also member of 2018 senior American Legion state championship team.
 
Personal: Born July 5, 2001… Son of Robert & Wendy Penny and has one brother, Dylan, who is also a member of the Lakeland baseball team… Majoring in business administration.

Why did you choose Lakeland? My older brother attends Lakeland and after visiting many times it felt like it was the right choice for me
