2015: Received Lakeland’s National Student Athlete Academic Award for 3.25 or higher GPA. 
 
Started 20 games and appeared in 23...Hit .333 in conference, and .265 overall collecting 9 hits in 34 at bats with 2 doubles...Drove in 3 runs, scored 5 times and walked 5 times...Recorded a .359 on base percentage...Recorded 2 Multi-Hit Games and a 3 Game Hitting Streak. 


Lakeland College: Monticello is in her first year at Lakeland...Is a transfer from Alpena Community College in Alpena, Mich.

High School: Four-year letter winner in softball and basketball… Named all-region and all-state as a shortstop as a senior… Member of four district championship teams, three regional champions and was member of teams that qualified for state three times.

Personal: Born Dec. 11, 1993… Daughter of Gerry & Patti Monticello and has one brother (P.J.) and a late sister (Linzy)… Majoring in psychology.


Career ambition/goal: To get my Ph.D. and become a psychiatrist

Favorite sports team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Hero: My sister, but she’s in a better place now
Greatest sports accomplishment: Making it to state three out of four years in my high school softball career.
