Brice Kensey

Brice Kensey is in his first year as a graduate assistant coach with the Lakeland football program and will coach the team’s wide receivers in 2022.

Kensey joins the coaching staff after a prolific career playing for the Muskies that included one of the greatest seasons by a wide receiver in school history in his final year. Kensey caught 75 passes for 1,035 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2021, becoming just the third Muskie ever to top 1,000 yards receiving in a season. His receptions and receiving yardage totals were the third-most in a season in Lakeland history, and he did it all in just seven games after missing the first three games due to injury. For his efforts he was named a first team all-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference selection.

For his career Kensey finished with 153 receptions for 2,077 yards and 20 touchdowns from 2017-21. He is sixth in school history for career receptions and ranks seventh in receiving yards after becoming one of just eight players to finish with more than 2,000 yards receiving in a career.

Kensey is from New Orleans, La., and received his degree from Lakeland in sport management and leadership.
