Lane Peterson is in his first year with the Lakeland football coaching staff as a graduate assistant and will coach the team’s wide receivers.
Peterson comes to the Muskies with nine years of experience coaching at the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently he was the offensive coordinator at St. Mary Catholic High School in Neenah for the past two years, where he was part of an 8-man team that posted 18 wins in his time. The Zephyrs also had six all-state players and averaged better than 50 points per game both years.
Peterson also has been a position coach, handling wide receivers at Kaukauna High School for three years and the offensive line at Menasha High School for one year. He also was the freshman team head coach at Menasha for two years, and also has experience at the NCAA Division I level. He was an intern at Northern Illinois University in 2019, and was an assistant for video and offensive line at Florida Atlantic for the 2017 season.
Peterson is a native of Menasha and played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point as a tight end. He completed his bachelor’s degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2017 in organizational communication, and is in Lakeland’s master’s program for leadership and organizational development.
