2012: Started first nine games before missing final game due to injury... Completed 71 of 164 passes for 946 yards, four touchdowns and 13 interceptions... Also rushed 133 times for 461 yards and seven touchdowns, leading team in rushing touchdowns and finishing second in carries and rushing yards.

2011: Started all 10 games at quarterback, completing 101 of 216 passes for 1,347 yards, 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions... Also led team in rushing with 166 carries for 427 yards and five touchdowns... Named Honorable Mention All-Northern Athletics Conference.

Personal: Born Oct. 3, 1991... Son of Dean & Tami Van Straten and has two brothers (Trevor and Hunter)... Brother Hunter is a freshman tight end on the Lakeland football team... Majoring in business administration.
