Biography

2015: Played in nine games on defense, starting all nine… Made 50 tackles (35 solo, 15 assisted), including seven tackles for loss for 26 yards… Also posted two sacks for 18 yards, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one pass breakup… Finished tied for fourth on team in interceptions, sixth in tackles and sacks and tied for sixth in tackles for loss… Also added a 35-yard blocked punt return for a touchdown against Albion (Mich.) Sept. 19… Named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 7 after making 11 tackles in season-opening win at Carroll Sept. 5... Named second team all-NACC.

2014: Started all 10 games in his first season with the Muskies and finished fifth on team with 52 tackles (33 solo, 19 assisted)… Recorded 5.5 tackles for loss for 30 yards, including 2.5 sacks for 25 yards… Added one interception and also broke up three passes for a total of four passes defensed… Recovered one fumble... Season high in tackles came in his first game with the Muskies when he made 12 tackles (10 solo, two assisted) Sept. 6 against Carroll.

Prior to Lakeland: Lewis previously played collegiately in 2012 as a freshman at Culver-Stockton College, an NAIA school in Canton, Mo.

Culver-Stockton College: Played in six games as a freshman in 2012 and made 11 tackles (seven solo, four assisted)… Posted high of four tackles in a game on two occasions, the first time Oct. 6 against MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and again on Nov. 10 against Benedictine (Kan.).

High School: Lettered in football, basketball and track & field.

Personal: Born July 20, 1994… Son of Enola Hicks and has two brothers (Joe Lewis and Marlon Hicks) and one sister (Janelle Harris)… Majoring in psychology.
