2014: Started all 10 games for the second straight season… Tied for second on team with 63 tackles (37 solo, 26 assisted), including three tackles for loss for 11 yards… Tied for fourth on team with two interceptions for 19 yards and also broke up four passes for a total of six passes defensed, ranking fourth on team in passes defensed… Also blocked one kick… Named a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference honorable mention selection.

2013: Started all 10 games as a sophomore at the safety position and finished fifth on team with 52 tackles (31 solo, 21 assisted)… Posted one tackle for loss for two yards… Also broke up five passes.

2012: Played in eight games as a freshman, primarily on special teams, and made two tackles (one solo)… Broke up one pass… Blocked a punt on Sept. 29 against Wisconsin Lutheran that was returned for a touchdown.

High School: Three-year letter winner on football team, also won two letters in track & field and one in baseball... First Team All-Bay Conference and second team all-area.

Personal: Born Aug. 30, 1993... Son of Dan & Lori Derginer and has two sisters (Taylor and Bradi)... Majoring in criminal justice.


Career ambition/goal: To become a police officer
