2016: Moved from wide receiver to defense… Played in three games as a reserve defensive back… Recipient of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Scholar-Athlete Award.

2015: Played in four varsity games as a freshman, appearing on special teams and as a reserve wide receiver.

High School: Three-year letter winner on football team and also lettered four years in track & field… Two-year team captain in both sports and was named All-Great Northern Conference honorable mention in football as a senior… Also was a two-time all-conference performer in track & field.

Personal: Born Nov. 27, 1996… Son of Deb & Jay Sampson and has one brother (Jacob)… Majoring in criminal justice.


Career ambition/goal: Become a DEA agent in California

Greatest sports accomplishment: Making the 2012 WIAA state football playoffs at Rhinelander for the first time in 20 years
