2023-24: Played in 24 games, starting all 24, and averaged 32.2 minutes per game… Averaged 13.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game, posting season totals of 312 points, 100 rebounds, 79 assists, 35 steals and 10 blocked shots… Made 110 of 258 field goal attempts (42.6%) including 14 of 47 from three-point range (29.8%) and 78 of 104 from the foul line (75.0%)… Led team in steals and finished second on team in scoring and assists… Scored in double figures in 15 games, including a career-high 27 points at Edgewood Dec. 2 in a game where he just missed a triple-double, adding eight rebounds and eight assists… Also came near a triple-double the game before at Rockford, scoring 21 points, setting a career high with 12 rebounds and adding nine assists in a road win… Posted second double-double of the season at Marian Feb. 3, finishing with 12 points plus tying his career high with 10 assists… Notched six steals against Concordia Wisconsin Feb. 10.

2022-23: As a freshman played in 23 games, starting eight, and averaged 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game… Finished with totals of 184 points, 58 rebounds, 56 assists, 25 steals and two blocked shots… Made 58 of 122 field goals (47.5%) including 9 of 21 from three-point range (42.9%) and 59 of 68 from the free throw line (86.8%)… Led team in free throw percentage and ranked second in assists and steals… Scored in double figures in eight games, including a season-best 16 points at Marian Feb. 14… Notched 10 assists to go with 11 points against Rockford Feb. 4… Posted a high of six rebounds on three occasions, first against Lawrence Nov. 26 and also against Aurora Jan. 14, a game in which he also finished with a season-high five steals.

High School: Four-year letter winner on basketball team and also lettered two years in track & field… Two-time second team all-Metro Classic Conference selection… Team captain as a senior, when he was also named to the all-county second team.

Personal: Born Jan. 5, 2004… Son of James Hunter and Naimah Mahdi and has one brother (Cameron) and two sisters (Ailani and A’mara)… Majoring in business administration.
