Matt Yancy is in his second year as an assistant coach with the Lakeland men’s basketball program and is serving in the role of director of basketball operations.
Yancy is a Lakeland alum who was involved with the Muskies women’s program as an undergraduate. He was head student manager for the team in the 2014-15 season, assisting with practices, film, fundraising and camps. He graduated from Lakeland in 2015 with a degree in sport management and business administration.
Yancy played basketball and baseball in high school at Bonduel High School in Bonduel, Wis., and he was part of a WIAA Division 3 regional championship baseball team as a junior. He also was an event management intern at Players Choice sports and expo facility in Appleton in 2013, helping coordinate rec leagues there.
