Rudy Bentley

Rudy Bentley Jr. is in his first year as a graduate assistant men’s basketball coach at Lakeland.

Bentley spent a majority of his undergraduate years at Beloit College, transferring to Beloit after spending his freshman year at Carroll University. In his college career, Bentley was a four-year starter and four-time academic all-Midwest-Conference award winner. While at Carroll, Bentley was the starting point guard of Carroll’s team that advanced to the Midwest Conference Championship game in the 2012-13 season. During his time at Beloit, he was a winner of the Joe Kabylka Team Spirit Award and a two-time recipient of the Johnny Orr Leadership Award along with being a team captain his Junior and senior years.

Since the Summer of 2013 Bentley has worked for Point Guard College, a national basketball leadership training course that works primarily with high school and college athletes. He is now an Assistant Director with Point Guard College and spends his summers teaching athletes life lessons through the game of basketball.

Bentley is a native of Madison, Wis., and is a proud graduate of Madison East High School. In May of 2016, Bentley completed his undergraduate degree in business economics from Beloit College. While coaching at Lakeland he is also pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.
