Alex Piekarski

Alex Piekarski is in his first year as a student assistant coach with the Lakeland men's soccer team.

Piekarski joined the coaching staff after a stellar four-year career playing for the Muskies. He took over as the team's starting goalkeeper in the middle of his freshman season in 2009 and never relinquished the position again, starting 62 consecutive matches to close out his career and playing every minute of those matches, nearly 6,000 consecutive minutes in goal.

Piekarski finished his career with 378 saves and a career 2.11 goals against average. He also posted 18 wins, including 10 shutouts, and ranks second all-time in school history in saves and shutouts and fourth in GAA.

Piekarski is a native of Menasha and is finishing his degree in elementary education from Lakeland.
