2023: Competed in one doubles match, teaming up with Carson Galla at No. 3 doubles in an 8-5 loss to Concordia Chicago in season finale April 16… Recipient of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Scholar-Athlete Award.

2022: Member of men’s tennis team but did not compete in a varsity match… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.

High School: Member of soccer and track & field teams, including lettering one year in soccer and three years in track... Received Business Senior of Excellence award.
 
Personal: Born Dec. 13, 2001… Son of Rene & Sonia Garcia and has one sister (Melanie) and one brother (Hugo)… Also is a member of the Lakeland men's soccer team and served as a broadcaster for Muskies women's soccer matches... Majoring in history education.


Career ambition/goal: High school history teacher
Favorite athlete: Iker Casillas (retired former professional soccer goalkeeper)
Favorite sports teams: Club America (Mexican professional football club), Minnesota United (MLS)
Heroes/most influential people: My parents have been the most influential people in my life
Why did you choose Lakeland? I chose Lakeland because it allowed me to experience new opportunities in a different place that wasn’t home.
