Stuart Nett, a tennis professional at the Sports Core in Kohler, Wis., has been named Lakeland's new head men's tennis coach and will lead the team in the 2018-19 school year.

Nett brings several years of playing and coaching tennis to the Muskies. He attended Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee on a tennis scholarship, and he was a two-time team captain and part of a nationally-ranked team at the NAIA level. Nett also helped Stritch to its first conference championship and national tournament berth in school history.

As a coach, he spent two years at alma mater Fond du Lac High School coaching boys and girls tennis, where he helped develop multiple state qualifiers. He joined the tennis staff at Sports Core in late 2017.

As a tennis player at Fond du Lac High School, he played four years of No. 1 doubles and was a multiple-time state qualifier, leaving Fondy with the second most wins in school history.
