Cullen Liberski is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Lakeland men’s volleyball team.
Liberski joins the Muskies coaching staff as a graduate assistant after a very successful four-year career at Marian University in Fond du Lac. He was a three-time all-conference performer at Lakeland’s rival and two-time conference defensive player of the year as a libero, in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in 2019 plus as a sophomore in 2017 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League. Liberski set a new NCAA Division III career record for digs with 1,316 and digs per set at 3.53, and his mark for digs also is the most all-time across any NCAA division.
Liberski also was a CoSIDA Academic All-American as a senior, becoming the first Marian men’s volleyball player to receive the award. He is a native of Germantown, Wis., and played for current Muskies head coach Brian Rushmer in high school and also for four years at Marian when Rushmer was an assistant coach. Liberski graduated from Marian in May 2019 with a degree in business administration.
