2020: Started all 20 matches and played in all 69 sets… In his first year as a starter led Muskies and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with 174 digs… Also added 30 assists and three kills in nine attack attempts… Ranked fifth in conference in digs per set (2.52)… Set career-high with 17 digs at Aurora Feb. 15 and tied that mark his next time out at Concordia (Wis.) Feb. 21… Finished with five matches of 10 digs or more… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.
2019: Played in 12 sets over 9 matches as a sophomore… Recorded nine digs in the back row… Added two service aces.
2018: Played in 16 sets over 11 matches as a freshman… Recorded five digs in the back row… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.
High School: Four-year letter winner on volleyball team and also lettered one year in football… Two-year captain on varsity team and honor roll student… Also was MVP and captain of Lake County Volleyball Club team in 2017.
Personal: Born April 1, 1998… Son of Alex Montemayor and Nelda Viola and has one brother (Ram)… Majoring in psychology.
