Biography

2024: Started all 45 games as the team’s No. 2 catcher and also top designated hitter… Batted .276 with 37 hits in 134 at bats… Finished with six doubles, seven triples, 26 runs batted in, 31 runs scored and 13 stolen bases… Paced team in triples and finished third in runs scored and steals, and also finished second in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in triples… Had three three-hit games, including going 3-for-4 with two triples, an RBI and three runs scored against Ripon April 9… Also hit 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored against Mount Mary April 26… Drove in career-high three runs while going 2-for-4 with a double, triple and three runs scored against Benedictine March 30… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.

2023: As a freshman appeared in 33 games, starting 26, and batted .308 with 24 hits in 78 at bats… Finished with three doubles, three triples, 11 runs batted in, 13 runs scored and five stolen bases… Tied for team lead in triples and finished fourth in batting average… Posted season-high four hits, going 4-for-4 with two runs scored in second game of a doubleheader against Alverno April 12… Drove in two runs on two occasions, first against Knox (Ill.) March 17 and again in first game of twinbill versus Alverno… Recipient of NACC Scholar-Athlete Award.

High School: Three-year letter winner on softball team… Two-year team captain and was a three-time first team all-Midwest Classic Conference catcher, as well as player of the year as a senior… Member of conference championship team as a freshman… High honor roll student and member of National Honor Society.
 
Personal: Born Jan. 30, 2004… Daughter of Mark & Susan Heitman and has one brother (Noah)… Majoring in criminal justice.

Hero(es)/most influential people in your life: My mom and dad who give me endless support every day, and my Aunt Megan who says "You can do hard things."
Greatest sports accomplishment: Hitting for the cycle twice in my high school career
When not playing sports you will find me: Playing piano/guitar, watching other sports events, or spending all my money at Half Priced Books.
Why did you choose Lakeland?  All the professors and coaches were super welcoming, and made me excited to start my journey at Lakeland. I also enjoy getting to know a lot of students at small schools, and I love how open the campus is.
Something people may not know about you: I played tackle football in middle school and I did theatre in high school.
