Brittany Labbe is in her second year as the assistant coach with the Lakeland softball program.
Labbe came to Lakeland after a four-year collegiate career in which she played two years at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, before transferring to California Lutheran University for her final two years. She works primarily with the outfielders and slappers for the Muskies.
A native of Northridge, Calif., Labbe spent her first two seasons playing softball at William Penn, including one season with Lakeland head coach Hailey Dreyer. At Penn, Labbe was a two-year Letter winner and a 2011 All-Midwest Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention selection and MCC All-Academic honoree. She hit .324 in two years at William Penn, then transferred to Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and was a two-year letter winner for the Regals. She started 74 games over two years and as a senior she finished second on the team with 35 hits and batted .304.
Labbe received her bachelor's degree from California Lutheran in communications with an emphasis in advertising and public relations. At Lakeland, she is working toward her master's in business administration.
