Sam Wright is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Lakeland softball program in 2025-26.
Wright is a former Lakeland baseball player from Geneva, Ill., who was a relief pitcher. He pitched in 15 games over his two-year career with the Muskies and compiled a 2-0 record in relief with a 4.05 earned run average.
Wright has spent four years working in the fitness and youth sports industry where he currently serves as a director of children's programming. He also coached 13U to high school level baseball for six years.
Wright received his bachelor's degree from Lakeland in sport management and leadership with an emphasis in coaching and minored in psychology. He currently resides in Sheboygan Falls and also assists in recruiting for the Lakeland softball team.
