Dona Richardson

Primary sports: Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Tennis

Dona Richardson enters her 11th year as an athletic trainer at Lakeland in 2021-22.
 
Richardson earned a master’s degree in exercise and sports medicine with an emphasis in athletic training from Western Michigan University in 2009. During graduate school, she worked two years as head athletic trainer at Delton Kellogg High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Luther College.
 
Richardson is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Michigan Athletic Trainers’ Association. She has done research on ACL injuries and nicotine and the effect on anaerobic muscle functions.
