Lauren Sharp is in her third year as an assistant coach with the Lakeland women’s basketball team. She continues with the team this year after serving as its graduate assistant coach the last two years.
Sharp came to Lakeland after playing for four years at Central College in Pella, Iowa, where current Muskies coach Aaron Nester was an assistant in the 2014-15 season. She appeared in 31 games over her career, including three starts her senior year. Along with her collegiate playing career, she also assisted at tournaments for the All-Iowa Attack youth basketball program.
Sharp is a native of Grinnell, Iowa, and received her degree from Central in athletic training. She completed her master’s degree in counseling from Lakeland and currently works as an admissions counselor for the school.
