Lindsey Vande Hoef returns for her fourth season as Lakeland College’s head women's basketball coach.
In her first three years coaching the Muskies, Vande Hoef has compiled a 39-38 record, reaching the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament in two of those years. Lakeland finished 9-16 last year, 6-14 in the NACC, missing the conference tourney for the first time.
In 2012-13, Lakeland finished 12-14 overall and 10-8 in the NACC, rallying with wins in its final four regular season games to qualify for the conference tournament. The Muskies also put one player on the all-conference first team (senior Becky Mayo, who led the NACC in rebounding) and another on the second team (junior Leah Eisner).
Vande Hoef made a strong debut in her first year at Lakeland, finishing with an 18-8 mark and 13-5 in the NACC, tying for second in the North Division. The Muskies improved their overall win total eight games from the previous season, posting separate win streaks of nine and six games.

Vande Hoef was a four-year starting point guard at Carroll. She led the team in assists during her junior and senior years, and holds the school’s single-game record for steals (nine). Vande Hoef graduated from Carroll in 2003 with a degree in fitness management and received a master's in business administration from the Sioux Falls in 2007.
Lindsey and her husband Chris currently reside in Plymouth, Wis., and in Nov. 2012 the couple welcomed their first child with the birth of son William.
