Nyah Odekirk is in her second year as an assistant with the Lakeland women’s basketball team in 2024-25 and her first year as a graduate assistant with the program.
Odekirk joined the team as a student assistant coach in 2023 in Head Coach Ashley Lona’s first season. She assisted with the team while also finishing her fourth year with the Lakeland softball team. Odekirk appeared in 99 games in her career with the Muskies and was a two-year part-time starter at second base. Odekirk finished with a .241 average at the plate as a Muskie and stole 15 bases, and in the field she committed four errors in 146 chances at second base for a .973 fielding average. She also was a three-time recipient of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Scholar-Athlete Award.
Odekirk is a native of Fond du Lac, Wis., and was a three-sport athlete at Fond du Lac High School, participating in softball, basketball and volleyball. She completed her degree from Lakeland in psychology and is working on her master’s at Lakeland in counseling.
