Biography
Lakeland: Gates is in her first year at Lakeland in 2024-25 and is a transfer from Worcester State University in Worcester, Mass., where she was a two-year member of the women’s ice hockey team. She played in 54 games over two years and scored six goals and added four assists for the Lancers.
High School: Four-year letter winner on the ice hockey and tennis teams… Captain on hockey team as a senior… Member of National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Russell & Sherri Gates and has one sister (Megan), who played ice hockey at Oswego State (N.Y.)… Double-majoring in criminal justice and hospitality management.
Career ambition/goal: Graduate with both intended degrees and travel as much as possible
