Kyle Quintell is in his third year as an assistant on the Lakeland men’s soccer coaching staff and has been promoted to director of operations for both the Muskies men’s and women’s soccer programs.
In addition to serving as an assistant coach with both teams, Quintell handles day-to-day operations for both programs with his duties including the oversight of recruiting, fundraising efforts, academic support, scheduling and travel. He steps into a full-time role at Lakeland after two years as the men’s program’s graduate assistant. He also assisted with the women’s soccer team in the 2021 season when Head Men’s Soccer Coach Rick Mobley was the women’s team’s interim coach.
Quintell came to Lakeland following a four-year career for the rival Marian University men’s soccer program. He played in a total of 39 matches from 2016-19, starting 22, and was a starter his final two years as a defender.
Quintell has completed his United States Soccer Federation D License, and also coaches with the Lakeshore United Futbol Club in Sheboygan, where he serves as tournament director and also coaches high school boys and girls and small group training sessions. He previously was the head varsity girls soccer coach at Port Washington High School in Port Washington and director of coaching and academy director for the Port Washington Soccer Club.
Before coming to Lakeland, Quintell served as head coach of the Kohler High School junior varsity girls soccer team for one year and head freshman girls basketball coach at Fond du Lac High school for two seasons. He has also been an assistant coach with the Fond du Lac Youth Soccer Association since 2016.
A native of Genoa, Ill., Quintell graduated from Marian in May of 2020 with a double major in sports and recreation management and marketing and a minor in athletic coaching. He completed his MBA from Lakeland in 2021.
