Pete Barth

Pete Barth is in his eighth year as head coach of the Lakeland University track & field programs in 2024-25.

Barth took over as head coach of the track teams in 2017-18, adding duties at the time after also spearheading the reintroduction of Lakeland's cross country programs in 2017. Since then he has coached 13 podium finishes by Muskies athletes and relay teams in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference championships, including 12 podium finishes at the NACC Outdoor Championships where Lakeland regularly has performed its best.

Barth came to Lakeland in May of 2013 as manager of communications. He served an assistant coach with the Lakeland women's soccer team in the 2016 season, and was named co-head coach for cross country in the spring of 2017. He also served as coach of the Lakeland women's tennis team for five seasons from 2020-24, and recently returned to an assistant coaching capacity with the women's soccer program.

Barth also has experience coaching with select-level girls soccer in the Sheboygan area, including coaching an eighth-grade team of which the core played on the United States' youth level team in the Donosti Cup interna­tional competition in Spain.
 
A cross country and track & field athlete in high school, he also has competed in half-marathons, triathlons and other competitive races.
