Abby Baumgartner is in her first year as a graduate assistant coach with the Lakeland women’s volleyball team.
Baumgartner joins the Muskies’ coaching staff after a strong four-year career with the team. She finished her career with better than 500 kills, 500 digs and 100 blocks, finishing with 653 kills, 513 digs and 124 blocks plus 54 service aces. Baumgartner played in 99 career matches and finished her career as a first team all-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference North Division selection.
Baumgartner also was a three-time NACC Scholar-Athlete Award winner and graduated from Lakeland with a degree in communication and a minor in business administration. She interned at Lakeland in the communications department and also with the Sheboygan A’s baseball team, and also has coached volleyball at the club level.
A native of Kewaunee, Abby is pursuing her master’s from Lakeland in leadership and organizational development.
