Katelynn Gunderson returns to Lakeland as an assistant coach with the Muskies women’s wrestling team for the 2026-27 season.

Gunderson was a four-year competitor for Lakeland and a member of the first team in program history. A four-year starter, she made an impact on the program both on and off the mat. In 2019, Gunderson earned All-American honors at the Body Bar Women’s National Championship, now known as USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals.

Prior to her collegiate career, Gunderson was a three-time high school state runner-up and a state champion for MGM. She continued her wrestling career at Lakeland, helping establish the foundation of the Muskies’ women’s wrestling program.

Gunderson earned her degree in business administration and returns to Lakeland with experience as both a former student-athlete and a member of the program’s inaugural team.
