Jared Schaaf is in his third year as an assistant coach with the Lakeland men’s wrestling program.
Schaaf has served as the program’s recruiting coordinator since the 2015-16 season and also has been an assistant coaching with the team since 2016. He also is an assistant coach with the Lakeland women’s wrestling program, which was officially launched in November and which will begin its first season of competition in the 2018-19 school year.
Schaaf wrestled for the Muskies for two years in 2013-14 and 2015-16 and also was a member of the Lakeland baseball team in 2015, pitching and playing in the field. He also has coaching experience as an assistant at nearby Plymouth High School from 2015-17 and has been the Wisconsin Schoolboy National Team Coach through the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation since 2014.
Schaaf is from Sauk City, Wis., and is a graduate of Sauk Prairie High School, where he was a three-time WIAA state qualifier and placed fifth at 170 pounds as a senior. He also was a Freestyle and Greco Northern Plains champion in the Cadet Division.
