Kaelib Whitley

Kaelib Whitley is in his second year as an assistant coach with the Lakeland men’s basketball team in 2025-26 and is the program’s graduate assistant.

Whitley was a volunteer coach in 2024-25 after completing his bachelor’s degree in sport management & leadership from Lakeland in 2024. He also previously served as a manager with the men’s basketball team and also was a four-year member of the Muskies football team. He played as a reserve wide receiver and on special teams and appeared in 17 games over three seasons, finishing with two catches.

Whitley is a native of Milwaukee and a graduate of Heritage Christian High School, where he was a four-year letter winner in basketball. He was a two-time captain on the basketball team and was named the team’s defensive player of the year.
