After a decorated four-year career playing quarterback for the Muskies, Robby Michael joins the Lakeland football coaching staff in 2026 as a graduate assistant who will coach the team’s running backs.
Michael was a four-year starter at quarterback for Lakeland and finished his career as one of the top passing and rushing threats in school history. He set a school record for career total offense with 11,614 yards in his career and ranks second all-time at Lakeland in rushing yards (3,478) and third in passing yards (8,136), as well as in the top six in a number of other categories. Michael was a four-time all-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference honoree including a two-time first team performer capped by being named the NACC Offensive Skill Position Player of the Year as a senior, when he ranked third in NCAA Division III in total offense.
Michael is a Sheboygan native and a graduate from Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School who played for and was a record-setting quarterback for the Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Sheboygan Christian co-op team in high school. He also was a four-time recipient of the NACC Scholar-Athlete Award, was twice named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, and received the NACC’s FAR (Faculty Athletics Representatives) Award as a junior. Michael completed his undergraduate degree from Lakeland in sport management and leadership.
