LISLE, Ill. – The Lakeland University women's volleyball team came through in the clutch in three straight sets and swept Benedictine (Ill.) University 25-23, 25-22, 26-24 Saturday afternoon at the Rice Center.
The Muskies won their Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season finale and wrapped up the number 5 seed in the upcoming NACC Tournament. Lakeland edged Benedictine for the fifth spot and will now face No. 4 seed Edgewood College in the tourney quarterfinals on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The teams were deadlocked at 21-21 in all three sets, but the Muskies won four of the last six points in the first set, four of the last five in set number two and then rallied from a set point in the third set, finally closing it out due to a service error and two attack errors by the hosts.
